The ideal person for this position will have experience and a passion for working in Housekeeping. Must have experience in a quality full service hotel in the housekeeping department. Scope of this Position

  • BASIC FUNCTION: The Housekeeping Supervisorr is responsible for assisting the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing the proper and smooth operation of the Housekeeping Department. The Housekeeping Supervisor will monitor all aspects of employee activity to ensure the highest quality in cleanliness and service throughout the guest rooms and corridors.
  • Help Director of Housekeeping with proper, adequate training and re-training of all housekeeping staff.
  • Assist with department purchasing, maintaining consistent availability of all cleaning products, machinery, amenities, etc.
  • Assist with the implementation of new standards to provide the guests the highest quality of service.
  • Through close communication with Housekeeping Management staff recommend areas in need of improvement.
  • Ensure that other expenses are kept within budgeted guidelines, through monitoring of staff handling and usage of supplies and equipment.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings, i.e. Rooms Division, Department Head, Safety, etc.
  • Report in either written or verbal form all information to the Director of Housekeeping.
  • Responsible for proper quality control and daily monitoring of staff.
  • Ensure standards of cleanliness are met in all areas of responsibility following proper LEED Green Cleaning Standards.


Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.


Technical Requirements:

  • Housekeeping supervisory experience at properties of similar size and quality strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars.
  • Ability to teach employees importance of and how to greet guests and courteously solve guest requests.
  • Ability to handle high stress situations.
  • Knowledge and use of electronic technology.
  • Detail oriented and good organizational skills.
  • Work closely with all other Departments.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.


Business Skills:

  • Strong technical skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and skills.


Educational Requirements:

  • High School degree or equivalent.

Salary$14.00
